Hydrangeas are suitable for most soil types, but the type of soil they grow in will determine their colour. A pH level of below 6.0 will produce blue hydrangea, and a pH above 6 will result in pink or white hydrangea flowers. We've put together a Hydrangea Plant Kit with soil suitable for Hydrangea Arborescens, Paniculata & Pink Macrophylla, and a separate kit for blue hydrangeas to help them maintain their magnificent colour.
